Squawk is operated by The Maverick Agency LLC, doing business as Squawk (“Squawk,” “we,” “us”). Squawk provides an astrology app that generates daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and natal chart readings. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address, used to sign you in via a passwordless link.
- Birth information: your birth date, birth time (if provided), and birth location, used solely to calculate your astrological chart.
- Generated readings: the daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and natal readings created for your account or your cohort.
- Basic usage data collected automatically by our hosting provider (page views, device and browser type), used to keep the app running reliably.
We do not collect payment information directly. Once paid subscriptions launch, payment will be handled by Stripe (see Section 4).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To calculate and generate your astrological readings.
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To send you transactional email, like sign-in links and account notices.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
We do not use your birth information or readings to train any third party’s AI models. It is sent to our AI provider only to generate your reading in the moment, described in Section 4.
3. What We Don’t Do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your birth information or readings with advertisers.
- We do not use your data for anything beyond providing and improving Squawk.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following service providers to operate Squawk. Each processes only the slice of your data it needs to perform its specific job:

Each provider maintains its own privacy and security practices. We choose providers that meet industry-standard security and privacy commitments.
5. Data Retention
We keep your account information and readings for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
6. Your Choices
- You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and its data, at any time by emailing dana@heysquawk.com.
- You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time. You cannot opt out of essential account email, like sign-in links.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Squawk is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Squawk evolves, especially as we exit beta. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
